1、 Introduction to Antibacterial Silicone Rubber
Silicone rubber is a rubber material made mainly from silicon, which has the advantages of temperature resistance, chemical resistance, and good flexibility. It is widely used in various fields such as automobiles, electronics, medical equipment, and daily necessities. Antibacterial silicone rubber refers to a silicone rubber material with antibacterial functions. Antibacterial silicone rubber has a killing and inhibitory effect on harmful micro production such as bacteria and mold. It is achieved by adding silicone rubber antibacterial agents, such as silver ion antibacterial agents, to the material. After being combined with silicone rubber, it continuously releases silver ions during use, which can damage and inhibit the cell membrane structure and metabolic enzymes of microorganisms, Change the growth environment of microorganisms and have an impact on cell membranes, thereby delaying the growth rate and quantity of bacteria, and extending the service life of silicone rubber. In medical or daily use of silicone rubber products, the proliferation of microorganisms is associated with various infectious bacteria, such as sepsis related to catheters, mucosal infections, and athlete skin infections. Antibacterial silicone rubber products can prevent infections caused by bacteria.

2、 Selection and usage of silicone rubber antibacterial agents
The selection of silicone rubber antibacterial agents should be based on the usage environment of silicone rubber and the performance requirements of the end product. If silicone rubber is used in humid environments or frequently comes into contact with water, it needs to have inhibitory effects on both bacteria and mold. Therefore, it is necessary to choose anti mold antibacterial agents, such as some organic antibacterial agents ZPT or organic inorganic composite antibacterial agents. If applied in some dry environments, such as medical equipment, mainly to resist bacteria and prevent bacterial infections from spreading to you, choose antibacterial agents, such as silver ion antibacterial agents.

Antibacterial silicone rubber is generally mixed using a two-stage method. The first stage is to first put the raw rubber, antibacterial agent, and other additives except for accelerator and sulfur into an internal mixer for mixing, with a discharge temperature between 135 ℃ and 140 ℃. Mix and park for 48 hours, then add accelerator and sulfur to the torch opening machine for the second stage of mixing, and finally shape the mixed adhesive onto the mold.
