The basic structural unit of organic silicone products is composed of silicon oxygen links, and the side chains are connected to various other organic groups through silicon atoms. Temperature resistance characteristics
Silicone products are based on the main chain structure of silicon oxygen (Si-O) bonds, with a bond energy of 82.6 kcal/mole for C-C bonds and 121 kcal/mole for Si-O bonds in organic silicon. Therefore, the thermal stability of organic silicon is high, and the chemical bonds of molecules continuously crack and do not decompose under high temperature (or radiation). Silicone rubber products are not only resistant to high temperatures, but also to low temperatures, and can be used over a wide temperature range. Both chemical and physical mechanical properties have little variation with temperature.

Weathering resistance
The main chain of silicone is - Si-O -, without double bonds, so it is not easily decomposed by ultraviolet light and ozone. It has better thermal stability, radiation resistance, and weather resistance than other polymer materials. So many silicone components and silicone electronic accessories can have a lifespan of several decades in natural environments.

Electrical insulation performance
Silicone products all have good electrical insulation performance, and their dielectric loss, voltage resistance, arc resistance, corona resistance, volume resistance coefficient, and surface resistance coefficient are among the top in insulation materials. Moreover, their electrical performance is minimally affected by temperature and frequency. Therefore, they are a stable electrical insulation material widely used in the electronics and electrical industry. Organic silicon not only has excellent heat resistance, but also excellent water repellency, which ensures high reliability of electrical equipment under wet conditions.
