Mould silicone rubber is silicone room temperature two-component mould glue, referred to as RTV, the common name silicon Likang. This is a two-component compound. Component A contains a crosslinking agent and component B contains a catalyst. During the packaging process, the crosslinking agent and the catalyst must be separated. Its vulcanization is carried out at room temperature, as long as the two components are mixed in accordance with a certain proportion (the specific proportion can be determined according to the operation time and product performance), the two components of the compound cross-linked reaction, forming a flexible, elastic colloid.

  Raw material
Mould silicone rubber is generally composed of base glue, crosslinking agent, catalyst, filler and so on.
The base adhesive is 107 silicone rubber, called hydroxy-terminated polydimethylsiloxane.
This mold silicone rubber can be cured at room temperature, has good fluidity, no deformation, only a small linear shrinkage.
The crosslinking agent was ethyl orthosilicate. The addition amount of crosslinking agent has obvious influence on the curing time, tearing strength and elongation of silicone rubber. Practice has proved that the addition amount of crosslinking agent is appropriate to account for 5% (mass fraction) of the base rubber.
The catalyst was dibutyltin dilaurate. The amount of catalyst added has a direct relationship with the curing time, which should not be too much, generally 1% to 2% (mass fraction).
The fillers are talc powder, quartz powder, white carbon black. Generally use talc powder as filler. If white carbon black is used as filler, the mechanical strength, tearing strength and uniformity are significantly improved
