  1.Heat resistance
The heat resistance of silicone rubber products in the air is much better than that of organic rubber, and its physical and mechanical properties are basically unchanged at 150 ° C, can be used semi-permanently, and can be used for more than 1000h at 200 ° C; It can be used for a short time at 380℃. Therefore, silicone rubber products are widely used as rubber parts used in high temperature occasions.
 2.compression permanent deformation
Compressive permanent deformation is an important property of silicone rubber products used as washers at high and low temperatures. The compression permanent deformation of dimethylsilicone rubber products is poor, and the deformation value is as high as 60% after compression at 150℃ for 22h. However, methyl vinyl silicone rubber products, especially those cured with alkyl series peroxides, have excellent compressive permanent deformation, and the deformation value can be less than 20%. The second stage vulcanization condition also has a great influence on the compression permanent deformation value, that is, the higher the second stage vulcanization temperature, the lower the compression permanent deformation value. In order to improve the compression permanent deformation of vulcanized rubber products, mercury oxide, cadmium oxide, zinc oxide and quinone compounds can also be added to the compound.
Because of the excellent compression and permanent deformation performance of silicone rubber products, it is suitable for the production of O-rings, sealing gaskets and rubber rollers.
  3. Weather resistance
There are no saturated bonds in the main chain of silicone rubber products, and Si-O-Si bonds are very stable to oxygen, ozone and ultraviolet light, so there is no need for any additives, that is, it has excellent weather resistance. When corona discharge occurs in ozone, organic rubber ages quickly, and the impact on silicone rubber products is not serious. Long-term exposure to ultraviolet light and wind and rain, its physical and mechanical properties have little change, after decades of outdoor exposure test, no cracks or degradation of the aging phenomenon such as sticky.
 4. Radiation resistance
Methyl vinyl silicone rubber products have medium durable irradiation performance, which can absorb radiation dose (4.0 ~ 5.0) ×1013Gy. After the introduction of phenyl, it was significantly improved, and the dose of 9.0×103Gy could be tolerated. When phenylene is introduced into the main chain, the effect becomes prominent.
 5. Electrical characteristics
Silicone rubber products have excellent electrical insulation properties, its volume resistance is as high as 1× (1014 ~ 1016) ω.cm, creepage resistance 10 ~ 30min(special grade up to 3.5kv/6h), arc resistance 80 ~ 100s(special grade up to 420s); The surface resistance is (1 ~ 10) × 1012ω.cm; The conductive grade can reach 1× (10-3 ~ 107) ω.cm; The dielectric loss Angle tangent (tgδ) is less than 10-3, the dielectric constant is 2.7 ~ 3.3(50Hz/25℃), and the dielectric strength is 18 ~ 36KV/mm, and it does not change much in a wide temperature and frequency range. Even after immersion in water, the electrical properties are rarely reduced, and it is very suitable for use as electrical insulation materials. Silicone rubber products have excellent damping effect on corona discharge and arc under high pressure.
