Phenyl silicone oil is a product formed after phenyl group replaces part of methyl in methyl silicone oil. In addition to the heat resistance, weather resistance and aging resistance of ordinary methyl silicone oil, it also has special high and low temperature resistance, lubricity, high refractive index and radiation resistance. Compared with dimethyl silicone oil, phenyl silicone oil can play a more excellent high temperature resistance, low temperature resistance, compatibility, lubrication and other characteristics. (5%-10% phenyl content) Low phenyl content of silicone oil is particularly suitable for the occasion of high cold resistance requirements, can still be used normally at -70℃, which is not reached by other oil products.
The silicone oil with phenyl content (about 25% of phenyl content) and the silicone oil with high phenyl content (about 45% of phenyl content) have high heat stability and excellent radiation resistance, and can be used as release agent, gas liquid chromatography carrier, heat treatment oil, heat conduction oil, high and low temperature resistance lubricating oil and medium oil of electrical and electronic equipment. In addition, it has been widely used in oilfield, hydraulic, mining, instrumentation, insulation and so on.
Compared with dimethyl silicone oil, phenyl silicone oil has a higher viscosity temperature coefficient, extreme pressure resistance, with the increase of phenyl content in the molecular structure, the silicone oil's high temperature resistance, radiation resistance, lubrication and solubility in the solvent are significantly increased, but the low temperature resistance is decreased. Phenyl silicone oil has good compatibility with each component of cosmetics, unique high gloss, and UV stability, is widely used as shampoo, makeup and other care products, cosmetic additives.
