Molded liquid silicone rubber (can be called LSR or LSE) is a higher grade variety of silicone rubber. First of all, compared with condensed silicone rubber, it has the advantages of no by-products in the vulcanization process, minimal shrinkage rate, deep vulcanization, etc., and the sealing property at high temperature is better than that of condensed silicone rubber. Secondly, the addition of liquid silicone rubber has another outstanding advantage: simple process and low cost. This is due to the small molecular weight of liquid silicone rubber, low viscosity, convenient processing and forming can eliminate mixing, pre-forming, post-finishing and other processes, easy to achieve automation and can save energy and labor, short production cycle and high efficiency. Therefore, although the raw material price of molded liquid silicone rubber is slightly higher than that of ordinary silicone rubber, the total cost is lower than that of ordinary silicone rubber, especially when manufacturing small products, which shows its superiority in this respect.
