Due to the large electron absorption effect of fluorine atoms, coupled with the short bond length of C-F bond, it can form a good shielding effect on C-C bond, which greatly improves the oil and solvent resistance of rubber. It becomes an elastomer with good resistance to non-polar media at -68℃~232℃ temperature. Therefore, fluorine silicone rubber is widely used in the sealing field of high-end locomotives and military aerospace.

However, on the one hand, due to the high price of fluorosilicone rubber, on the other hand, due to the characteristics of fluorosilicone rubber electron absorption effect, it has a strong adsorption effect on the surrounding dust, thus affecting the performance, so the production and operation process of fluorosilicone rubber is extremely strict.

1.Transportation and preservation of fluorosilicone rubber: In the process of preservation and transportation of fluorosilicone rubber, it is necessary to use isolation paper and plastic bags to wrap fluorosilicone rubber to prevent dust and impurities from contact with rubber and adsorption.

2.Cutting of fluorosilicone rubber: In the process of drawing, cutting, and fluorosilicone rubber, first of all, the tool scissors or putty knife should be cleaned, the tool surface should be scrubbed with alcohol, and the fluorosilicone rubber can be cut after it is clean. In the process of cutting, the contact between hands, skin and rubber can be avoided as far as possible, but the gloves can not be worn, so as to avoid the pollution of fluorosilicone rubber by glove fibers or skin oils.

3.Fluorosilicone rubber production environment: Because fluorosilicone rubber has the characteristics of electrostatic ash absorption, the production environment needs to be cleaned and dust-free workshop, and the production tools are special equipment. Workers in and out of operation need to wear clean clothes and hats.
