IOTA 9283 is an innovative liquid polysilazane with a silicon-nitrogen structure, offering excellent hydrophobic performance. Its unique molecular structure, containing methyl and fluorine-modified groups, allows it to cure at room temperature. This room temperature curing is mainly achieved through the hydrolysis and oxidation of the Si-NH-Si bond, ensuring the coating cures efficiently without the need for additional heat. Moreover, the Si-NH-Si bond can react with the -OH groups on the substrate surface, providing IOTA 9283 with strong adhesion to the substrate, making it highly effective on various materials.
