Phenyl silicone oil can be divided into five grades based on its phenyl content: low phenyl silicone oil (5%~10% mol), medium phenyl silicone oil (25% mol), high phenyl silicone oil (45% mol), high phenyl low polymerization degree silicone oil (above 45% mol), and cross-linked phenyl silicone oil.
The common phenyl silicone oil products include:
1. High temperature resistant phenyl silicone oil
High temperature resistant phenyl silicone oil can be composed of repeated links of dimethyl siloxane and diphenyl siloxane, or of repeated links of dimethyl siloxane and methylphenylsiloxane. This silicone oil can maintain stability in high temperature environments and is not easily decomposed or deteriorated.
2. Vinyl terminated phenyl silicone oil
This series of silicone oil is mainly used to prepare additive liquid silicone rubber, which improves the high and low temperature resistance, radiation resistance and other properties of silicone rubber through the introduction of phenyl groups. By introducing phenyl groups, the high and low temperature resistance, radiation resistance, and other properties of silicone rubber can be significantly improved.
Vinyl terminated methylphenyl silicone oil can be prepared using D4, methylphenylsiloxane, and vinyl end capping agent (ViMezSiosiMeVi) as raw materials, and tetramethyl hydroxide as a catalyst.
Vinyl terminated methyl phenyl silicone oil can be mixed with silicone rubber, added with catalyst, and then solidified. It can be used in silicone mixed gel, optoelectronic, electronic and microelectronic industries for bag sealing, bonding and coating. It can also be used to manufacture MQ resin as coating.
3. Phenyl hydrogenated silicone oil
Phenyl hydrogen containing silicone oil can be used as a crosslinking agent for addition molded phenyl silicone rubber, prepared through specific synthetic processes.
Octamethylcyclotetrasiloxane (D4), methylhydrocyclic siloxane, methylphenylcyclic siloxane, and mixed cyclic siloxane can be used under the catalysis of cation exchange resin. Hydrogen containing double capped toluene solvent is used to polymerize at a set temperature for a certain period of time. The cation exchange resin is filtered off and toluene is evaporated at atmospheric pressure. Then, the low boiling point is removed at 0.096Mpa/205 ℃ and cooled to room temperature to obtain a hydrogen containing silicone oil with a benzene to silicon molar ratio (Ph/Si) of 0.30-0.60, a hydrogen mass percentage of 0-0.5%, controllable viscosity (10mpas-1000mpa · s), high refractive index, clear and transparent, and containing methylphenylsiloxane chains.
4. Hydroxyl terminated phenyl silicone oil
Hydroxy terminated phenyl silicone oil is prepared by equilibrium copolymerization reaction using high light group content polydimethylsiloxane and methylphenylcyclic siloxane as raw materials, and tetramethylhydroxides as catalysts. This silicone oil has good hydrophilicity and reactivity, and can be used to prepare water-based coatings, inks, etc.
Low viscosity light phenyl silicone oil is used as a structural control agent and fabric treatment agent in silicone rubber processing, which can significantly improve the smoothness, high temperature resistance, anti-static, waterproof, and anti fouling properties of polyester threads. It can also be used as an anti sticking treatment for paper and other materials; High molecular weight light based phenyl silicone oil is the base rubber of two-component room temperature vulcanized silicone rubber.
5. Phenylsilane for low viscosity and high vacuum diffusion pumps
Phenyl silicone oil for low viscosity high vacuum diffusion pumps is a special silicone oil designed specifically for high vacuum diffusion pumps. This silicone oil has the advantages of high boiling point, low vapor pressure, oxidation resistance, radiation resistance, and non hydrolysis, which can meet the special requirements of high vacuum diffusion pumps for oil products. Therefore, in fields such as semiconductor manufacturing and vacuum metallurgy, this silicone oil plays an irreplaceable role.
