Food-grade liquid silicone rubber is an environmentally friendly, non-toxic, and odorless high-quality material commonly used for making food molds. Here's how to use it:
1. Prepare Materials: Ensure you have the A and B components of food-grade liquid silicone rubber, as well as a clean container for mixing, a stirring rod, a vacuum degassing machine (or vacuum degassing equipment), and a mold.
2. Mix Components: Pour the A and B components into the container in a 1:1 ratio (or as specified in the product instructions), and stir thoroughly with a stirring rod until the two components are fully blended.
3. Vacuum Degassing: Pour the mixed liquid silicone rubber into the vacuum degassing machine to remove bubbles. This step is crucial for ensuring the quality and appearance of the final product, typically lasting 2-5 minutes.
4. Pour into Mold: Quickly pour the degassed liquid silicone rubber into the prepared mold, ensuring even filling without omissions.
5. Curing and Shaping: Place the filled mold in an oven, heat to 60-180°C, and maintain for a period (such as 8-10 minutes) until the silicone rubber is fully cured. If an oven is not available, it can also be cured at room temperature for a period (such as 12 hours).
6. Demolding and Use: Once the silicone rubber is fully cured, remove it from the mold to obtain the desired food-grade silicone mold.
