The vinyl-terminated fluorosilicone oil is a fluorosilicone polymer with active vinyl groups at the molecular ends or side chains, typically appearing as a colorless or light yellow transparent liquid. Due to the introduction of trifluoropropyl groups into its molecular structure, this special modified silicone oil not only inherits the broad operating temperature range of traditional silicone oils but also possesses excellent resistance to oils, solvents, and chemical corrosion. Meanwhile, it features an extremely low surface tension and outstanding weathering and aging resistance, maintaining long-term physical and chemical stability across a wide temperature range of -40°C to 204°C, demonstrating exceptional environmental adaptability.
The vinyl groups at the molecular ends endow it with extremely high reactivity, enabling it to undergo hydrosilylation reactions with hydrogen-containing silicone oils and participate in various complex chemical crosslinking processes. In industrial applications, medium to high-viscosity vinyl fluorosilicone oil is the primary raw material for manufacturing addition-type liquid fluorosilicone rubbers and injection-molded fluorosilicone rubbers; low-viscosity products are widely used as active diluents, potting compounds, and release agents. Furthermore, it serves as a base material for aircraft fuel tank sealants, engine components, and various oil-resistant sealants, providing indispensable material support for severe working conditions in aerospace, automotive manufacturing, and electrical/electronic industries.
