After the rubber is kneaded, various additives have not been evenly dispersed, and at the same time, the stress generated by the shearing, tearing and friction of the rubber macromolecular chain by the rubber mixing machine has not been completely eliminated. At this time, the size and shape of the vulcanized products are difficult to guarantee, the shrinkage is uneven, the surface gloss of the products is poor, very rough, the pass rate is low, the physical properties and performance are poor, and the service life is short. Therefore, it is generally necessary to park the rubber for 24 hours before it can be put into use.   

Why should the rubber compound be parked？  

First, during the mixing process, the stress of the rubber macromolecular chain by the rubber mixer needs to be eliminated, so that the rubber macromolecular chain is in a relatively stable state, preventing large deformation and uneven shrinkage after vulcanization;

Second, the various additives are further dispersed evenly in the rubber, and adsorb, bind and occlude with the rubber macromolecular chain to form more inclusive rubber, thereby improving the reinforcing effect of the rubber;

Third, reduce uneven shrinkage and appearance defects of finished products;

Fourth, when the rubber compound is parked, a quick check of the physical properties can be carried out to see whether the rubber compound has reached the expected physical properties.

After the mixed rubber is parked and before use, it is generally required to be re-melted. The purpose is to:

1. To further disperse various additives in the rubber compound evenly;

2. Destroy the crystals formed in the mixed rubber during parking, so that the rubber becomes soft and convenient for molding operations;

3. Improve the fluidity and self-adhesion of the rubber compound to facilitate the molding and operation process;

4. Improve the appearance quality and pass rate of finished products.
