Fumed molded silicone rubber is a high-performance elastomer reinforced with fumed silica, designed for the production of precision molded components. The use of fumed silica as a reinforcing filler provides superior mechanical properties, including high tensile strength, excellent tear resistance, and enhanced transparency compared to precipitated silica grades. This material is ideal for applications requiring intricate details and tight tolerances, as it flows well into complex mold cavities and cures with minimal shrinkage.

This silicone rubber exhibits exceptional thermal stability, maintaining its flexibility and mechanical integrity across a wide temperature range from extreme cold to high heat. It is resistant to ozone, weathering, and UV radiation, ensuring long-term durability in outdoor and harsh environments. The high purity of fumed silica makes this grade suitable for applications where cleanliness and low extractables are important. It can be easily compounded with various additives to achieve specific colors, hardness levels, and functional properties such as conductivity or flame retardancy.

Fumed molded silicone rubber is widely used in the automotive, electronics, medical, and consumer goods industries. It is commonly employed to manufacture keypads, seals, gaskets, connectors, and medical device components. Its ability to produce high-quality, defect-free parts with consistent performance makes it a preferred choice for precision molding processes. For manufacturers seeking a robust and versatile material for complex molded applications, fumed molded silicone rubber offers an optimal balance of strength, clarity, and processing efficiency.
