It may cause the oil pump to not increase the oil pressure and affect the oil circulation, destroy the oil film, and cause wear. At the same time, the oil pressure is unstable and affects the adjustment. In severe cases, the foam overflows from the top of the fuel tank, threatening the operation of the unit, so the oil must have anti-foaming properties.

In order to eliminate the foam generated by the working medium when the equipment system is working, after long-term observation and research, a variety of defoaming methods have been found, such as physical defoaming, mechanical defoaming, chemical defoaming, etc. Among them, chemical defoaming The effect of adding anti-foaming agent in the foaming method is the best and the method is simple. Therefore, it is widely used at home and abroad. In 1943, Shell Development Corporation and Gulf Research and Development Corporation simultaneously discovered that liquid organopolysiloxanes are very effective antifoaming agents. Methyl silicone oil is still widely used as an antifoaming agent for lubricating oils.

The stable chemical properties of silicone oil also endow it with good anti-rust performance, which protects the internal parts of precision equipment from rusting, and the shelf life of silicone oil is very long.
