Siliocne gum is the abbreviation of methyl vinyl silicone rubber. It is copolymerized by dimethylsiloxane and a small amount of vinyl siloxane. The vinyl content is generally 0.04%~0.3% (mole fraction). It has a transparent appearance and excellent fluidity. It is the basic raw material for the production of rubber compound. The vinyl content of commonly used methyl vinyl silicone rubber is 0.04, 0.08, 0.16, 0.24, etc, It is made of materials with different vinyl content according to different properties of mixed silicone rubber.

After adding reinforcing filler (precipitated/fumed silica) and additives, raw rubber can be cross-linked at high temperature to form elastomer, which can be used to manufacture various rubber compounds such as molded rubber, extruded rubber, electrical insulation rubber, flame retardant rubber, etc.

Application of silicone gum:
1. Silicone rubber: basic raw material for production of rubber compund;
2. Chemical industry: vulcanizing agent for rubber compound&carrier of color masterbatch;
3. Silicone masterbatch: release agent of thermoplastic elastomer.
