Organic silicone adhesive is mainly silicone rubber adhesive, which consists of organic silane or silicone rubber, filler, tackifier, curing agent, catalyst, etc.
1. Main material
Provide heat resistance, adhesion and curability, such as organosilane, methyl silicone rubber, methyl vinyl silicone rubber, phenyl silicone rubber, p-phenylene silicone rubber, and fluorosilicone rubber. Silicone resin or silicone rubber formed by hydrolysis and condensation of different organosilicon monomers have different reaction properties and curing properties.
2. Filler
It is used to improve the adhesion, heat resistance and reinforcement of silicone. Generally, fumed silica (silica), diatomite, titanium dioxide and carbon black with large surface area are selected. Use 5-45 portions, up to 200 portions. However, for the filler in the waterproof sealing material, there is no need for reinforcement, and calcium carbonate can be selected to prepare the silicone rubber sealant with low modulus and room temperature curing.
3. Tackifier
It is used to treat the surface of white carbon black. It is added to the organic silicone rubber adhesive with white carbon black to help improve the adhesion performance. The commonly used tackifiers are organosilane, siloxane and silicone resin.
4. Curing agent
Peroxides such as dioctyl phthalate and ammonium carbonate are mainly used. The dosage is 1-10 phr, and the silicone rubber is crosslinked into elastic silicone rubber with three-dimensional structure. Under the condition of no water, the adhesive is sealed in a closed container for storage. When the adhesive is in contact with the moisture in the air, it will solidify quickly.
5. Catalyst
When the hydroxy-containing silicone rubber is vulcanized and crosslinked at room temperature, catalysts such as dibutyltin and tin laurate need to be added, and the general dosage is 0.5-2 phr. For two-component RTV silicone rubber adhesive, the curing rate is affected by the humidity in the air and the ambient temperature, but the main influencing factors are the nature and amount of catalyst. Other additives, such as coupling agents, colorants, antioxidants, heat stabilizers, etc., can be added according to specific applications.
