Silicone oil is a type of polyorganosiloxane with a chain like structure with different degrees of polymerization. It is prepared by hydrolysis of dimethyl dichlorosilane with water to obtain an initial polycondensation ring, which can be polymerized through multiple layers of process to obtain a mixture of different degrees of polymerization, ultimately producing silicone oil. As long as modified silicone oil is added, it has a good defoamer effect.

It can also be seen everywhere in daily life. Some ointments based on silicone oil have good therapeutic effects on burns, dermatitis, bedsores, etc. By utilizing the anticoagulant effect of silicone oil, it can be used to treat the surface of blood storage devices and extend the storage time of blood samples.
