Most rubber and plastic colloidal materials generally exhibit aging and deformation, and the aging problem of silicone products is also common over time and under the influence of usage environment. 1. The effect of photothermal treatment can cause thermal cracking or cross-linking of silicone products by increasing the temperature. But the basic function of heat is still activation. Improving the diffusion rate of oxygen and activating the oxidation reaction, thereby accelerating the oxidation reaction rate of rubber, is a common aging phenomenon - thermal oxygen aging.

2. The action of oxidation causes oxygen to undergo free radical chain reaction with rubber molecules in rubber, resulting in molecular chain breakage or excessive cross-linking, leading to changes in the performance of silicone rubber products.

3. The reason for light waves is that the shorter the light wave, the greater the energy. The destructive effect on rubber is caused by high-energy ultraviolet radiation. In addition to directly causing the breakage and cross-linking of rubber molecular chains, ultraviolet radiation also generates free radicals in rubber by absorbing light energy, triggering and accelerating the oxidation chain reaction process.

4. The effect of ozone, which has much higher chemical reactive oxygen species and greater destructive power, also causes molecular chain breakage. However, the effect of ozone on rubber varies depending on whether the rubber is deformed or not.

5. The function of water has two aspects: silicone rubber products are prone to damage when exposed to humid air, rain, or soaked in water. This is because the water-soluble substances in silicone and components such as clear water dough are extracted and dissolved by water.
