The viscosity temperature performance, wide viscosity range, thermal stability, and high compressibility of dimethyl silicone oil are widely used inside/outside automobiles. Typical examples of use include:

Brake fluid
Automotive brake fluid with relatively low viscosity methyl silicone oil (20mPa · s) as the base agent.

Damping oil
The damping oil used for automotive engine cooling fans has been practical, which can improve component performance, reduce resistance and wear, and extend system life.

Tackifier
It can be used as a glass fiber reinforcement material and a tackifier to improve the adhesion between glass fibers and resins, thereby significantly improving the mechanical properties of reinforced plastics. Used for the production and maintenance of adhesive sealing materials for automotive windshield, door and window frames, rearview mirrors, exhaust pipes, and equipment susceptible to water immersion.
