1. Oil resistance, solvent resistance, and chemical resistance
Compared with methyl vinyl silicone rubber, fluorosilicone rubber has excellent oil resistance, solvent resistance, and chemical resistance; Even compared to fluororubber, it has good oil and solvent resistance. After immersion in the same medium, temperature, and time, fluorosilicone rubber shows excellent durability. It can be said that fluorosilicone rubber is the only elastomer that can withstand non-polar media at -68 ℃ to 250 ℃. The resistance of fluorosilicone rubber to methanol containing gasoline is also relatively good. Even in the gasoline/methanol mixture system, the hardness, tensile strength, and volume changes of its vulcanizate are very small. After a 500h long-term immersion test, all physical properties have hardly changed.

2. Heat resistance
The high-temperature decomposition of fluorosilicone rubber is the same as that of silicone rubber, which includes side chain oxidation, main chain fracture, side chain thermal decomposition, and various composite reactions. Due to the fact that decomposition products can also cause the main chain to break, the heat resistance of silicone rubber is usually worse than that of silicone rubber, and oxidation aging has begun at a temperature of 200 ℃. However, significant improvement can be achieved by adding a small amount of heat stabilizers such as iron, titanium, and rare earth oxides, which have sufficient heat resistance even at high temperatures of 250 ℃. Temperature has a greater impact on fluorosilicone rubber than silicone rubber.

3. Cold resistance
Fluorosilicon rubber, like ordinary silicone rubber, has good low-temperature performance. Due to the fact that fluorosilicone rubber is a linear polymer composed of soft Si-O as the main chain, its low-temperature properties are superior to fluorosilicone rubber with C-C as the main chain. Among them, fluorosilicone rubber has better low-temperature properties, with a brittleness temperature as low as -89 ℃, while general fluorosilicone rubber is about -30 ℃.

4. Electrical performance and radiation resistance
The electrical performance of fluorosilicone rubber is similar to that of ordinary silicone rubber, but its particularly valuable feature is that it changes very little under harsh conditions such as high temperature, low temperature, humidity, oil, solvents, chemicals, ozone, etc. The radiation resistance of fluorosilicone rubber is not outstanding, but its radiation aging resistance is better than that of methyl vinyl silicone rubber.

5. Physical and mechanical properties
Fluorosilicon rubber, like ordinary silicone rubber, has a relatively low mechanical strength (especially tear strength) of vulcanized rubber. Therefore, improving and enhancing the strength of fluorosilicone rubber is also an important research topic.

6. Other characteristics
Fluorosilicone rubber has excellent weather aging resistance and maintains good performance even after 5 years of exposure. Ozone is one of the gases generated most during the aging of elastomers, but no cracking or cracking was found in fluorosilicone rubber after dynamic or static testing. In addition, fluorosilicone rubber has excellent mold resistance, physiological inertness, and anticoagulant properties.

Application:
1. Automotive industry: various types of vehicles, turbocharged pipes, extrusion strips, sealing rings, oil seals, diaphragms, conduits, valve linings, etc.
2. Petrochemical industry: sealing products for various high-temperature, low-temperature, and chemical resistant pumps, valves, oil tanks, and other equipment.
3. Aviation industry: Fuel and lubricating oil resistant seals and contacts on aircraft, such as various O-rings, gaskets, sealing rings, sensor materials, diaphragms, and wire clips for gaskets.
4. Medical and health: Used for medical devices and artificial organs, such as medicinal catheters, drainage tubes, artificial valves, etc.
