There are six main reasons for bad cracking:
1、 The temperature is too high during molding
Silicone keys will become brittle when the temperature is too high during molding. After molding, they are easy to crack and bad. Just reduce the molding temperature properly.
2、 Silicone key is not fully vulcanized
When the temperature of the silicone key molding mold is too low or the curing time is too short, the product will cling to the mold and it will not be easy to demould, so it is easy to crack. It can be solved by properly raising the mold temperature or extending the curing time.
3、 The surface of silicone key molding mold is too rough or accumulated dirt
The mold cavity with rough surface or accumulated dirt is not conducive to demoulding, while the mold that is not easy to demould is easy to crack, so the mold needs to be cleaned or plated;
4、 Incorrect operation method during demoulding
When demoulding, many mold masters do not have professional training or work carefully. When demoulding is not in accordance with the strict operation instructions, the silicone keys will break. This requires professional operation skill training or strict operation system.
5、 The release of silicone key is not good when lifting the mold
This causes the product to crack during the mold lifting process. At this time, it is necessary to spray an appropriate amount of release agent on the surface of the silicone key mold to continue production;
6、 The key silicone used is too poor
Some factories blindly reduce costs and use inferior key silicone raw materials, resulting in poor quality of silicone keys produced, poor rubber material, poor toughness, memory fracture, which is very normal. To solve this problem, it is necessary to replace a better silicone button.
