Polyether modified silicone oil is obtained by grafting polyether segments onto the hydrophobic siloxane main chain, and is a non-ionic surfactant made by graft copolymerization of polyether and dimethyl siloxane. By changing the number of silicone oil chain links, the ratio of EO (ethylene oxide) and PO (propylene oxide) in polyether, as well as the number of chain links and end groups, products with different properties can be obtained.

The silicone part in polyether modified silicone oil provides: reducing surface tension, UV resistance, adjusting glossiness and viscosity, and silicone is hydrophobic but not oleophilic. Polyether provides polar functional groups, varying degrees of water solubility, and lipophilicity.

Polyether modified silicone oil has the following performance characteristics

The application of polyether modified silicone oil is also very extensive, mainly reflected in the following six fields.
1. Plastic greenhouse industry: As an internal additive added to plastics, it is used to produce drip free film greenhouses, which play a role in anti fog and improving light transmittance.
2. Fabric finishing: Used as a fabric softener to make fabrics soft, especially suitable for finishing underwear, bed sheets, towels, etc., and has the characteristics of absorbing water and sweat, making it comfortable to wear.
3. Paint and polyurethane slurry: can be used as leveling agents to reduce the internal friction and stress of molecules, and play a role in leveling and defoaming.
4. Cutting fluid and cleaning agent: used to produce efficient cutting fluid and high-end cleaning agent, with good lubricity.
5. Cosmetics: Cream products can be made in cosmetics to lubricate the skin, moisturize and wrinkle resistant.
6. Pesticide industry: used as a wetting and spreading agent for glyphosate to improve efficacy and reduce pollution.
