High-temperature vulcanization fluorosilicone rubber and room-temperature vulcanization fluorosilicone rubber are the two main types of fluorosilicone rubber, and they exhibit significant differences in vulcanization temperature, vulcanization mechanism, performance characteristics, and application fields.

High-temperature vulcanization fluorosilicone rubber requires vulcanization at higher temperatures, typically exceeding 100°C and potentially reaching 200°C or higher. This vulcanization method ensures thorough crosslinking between fluorosilicone molecular chains, thereby imparting excellent physical-mechanical properties and chemical stability. High-temperature vulcanization fluorosilicone rubber features outstanding heat resistance, oil resistance, solvent resistance, and chemical resistance, making it suitable for manufacturing seals, pipes, cable jackets, and other products with high performance requirements.

In contrast, room-temperature vulcanization fluorosilicone rubber can vulcanize at room temperature without the need for heating equipment, greatly simplifying the processing process. Room-temperature vulcanization fluorosilicone rubber is usually divided into one-component and two-component types, which achieve curing through different vulcanization mechanisms. The vulcanization speed of room-temperature vulcanization fluorosilicone rubber is relatively fast, and the operation is simple, making it suitable for various sealing, bonding, and coating applications. However, compared with high-temperature vulcanization types, room-temperature vulcanization fluorosilicone rubber may be slightly inferior in terms of heat resistance, oil resistance, and solvent resistance.
