Is there a difference between silicone mvq and vmq?

Methylvinyl silicone rubber (MVQ or VMQ), also known as vinyl silicone rubber, is a copolymer of dimethyl siloxane and a small amount of vinyl siloxane, with a vinyl content generally ranging from 0.1% to 0.3% (mole fraction).

The introduction of a small amount of unsaturated vinyl has greatly improved its vulcanization process and product performance, especially its heat aging resistance and high-temperature compression deformation resistance.

The content of methyl vinyl siloxane units has a significant impact on the vulcanization effect and the heat resistance of vulcanizates. If the content is too low, the effect is not significant. If the content is too high (up to 0.5%), it will reduce the heat resistance of vulcanizates.

In the production of silicone rubber, methyl vinyl silicone rubber is the largest in production, widely used, and has the most varieties and grades.

The English abbreviations for silicone rubber are: (high-temperature vulcanized silicone HTV), room temperature vulcanized silicone (RTV), methyl silicone rubber (MQ), methyl vinyl silicone rubber (VMQ, with the highest dosage and product grade), and methyl vinyl phenyl silicone rubber PVMQ (low temperature and radiation resistance).
